ECE R10 Info →An anechoic chamber is a specially designed room that absorbs reflections of electromagnetic waves, creating an RF-isolated test space. The term "anechoic" means "without echo" — the chamber prevents outside interference from entering, and absorbs internal reflections to simulate free-space conditions.
EMC chambers allow operators to accurately measure the electromagnetic field generated by equipment under test (EUT) without interference from the external environment. A well-constructed chamber can absorb close to 100% of ambient emissions.
